Learning Outcomes

This course is designed as a technical elective course for Civil Engineering students. The course provides supplementary information to the existing courses in the field of Coastal and Harbour, Geodesy and Water Resources Divisions in Civil Engineering Department. The course is highly interdisciplinary. The students will have background information on the marine environment in general, coastal and open sea physical processes, sea water chemistry, marine life and ecosystems, oceanographic field work and the proposed course will provide them necessary information for the engineering applications at coastal and open marine areas.
