Course Objective- To give basic concepts of planning in water resources systems with emphasis to hydrologic design, - To make students understand how hydrologic data are collected, corrected, and analyzed, - To give the main steps of hydrologic design part in the design of hydraulic structures to be able to give dimensions to these structures.
Course ContentHydrologic cycle and climate. Basin characteristics. Precipitation and streamflow data and their analysis. Hydrograph analysis. Statistical analysis of hydrologic data. DAD and IDF curves. Applications in all these subjects. Prerequisite: CE 378
