Course ContentScope of ocean engineering. Basic properties of ocean environment: buoyancy, flotation, stability, flow of ideal fluids, added mass, forces on objects, motion of objects in fluid. Ocean structures: fixed and floating ocean structures, phases of design, loads on ocean structures, probabilistic aspects of design. Principles of diving, human body in ocean environment, decompression sickness, safety, underwater communication, diving in special and extreme conditions, protection of scuba environment.
