Course ContentGeneral concepts of dam design and related safety concepts, dam failures and lessons taken from, factors effecting dam performance, monitoring dam performance, the purpose and related design of an appropriate instrumentation system, instrument details, performance and specifications, evaluation of instrumentation data during construction and after impoundment to predict the dam behavior, decision making and action taking and related remedial measures with case histories, dam safety programs and regulations throughout the world are the headings that are intended to be covered throughout the course.
