Prof. Ahmet Cevdet Yalçıner, the head of METU Civil Engineering Department and the director of Coastal Harbor Engineering Research Center at Middle East Technical University, has been re-assigned to the position, Chief of North-Eastern Atlantic and Mediterranean Tsunami Information Center of UNESCO in November 2015. He will serve in this position for the next two years. We would like to congratulate Prof. Yalcıner and wish him success in this position.
