Concrete Boat Construction
HISTORICAL EVENT
Concrete Boat Construction
Engin Erant's concrete boat, planned as a master's thesis in 1976, is 10 meters long and weighs approximately 8.5 tons. Although it was constructed in a laboratory, it was eventually moved outside because it took up too much space and stood on wooden supports for a long time. Over time, the wooden supports decayed, causing the concrete boat to settle on the ground, with part of it becoming buried in the soil. Eventually, students began to paint pictures on the boat. The boat is now exhibited as a work of art.
