METU Civil Engineering Department Ph. D. student Umut Akın, who was nominated by his Ph. D. advisor Burcu Burak Bakır for the American Concrete Institute (ACI) travel grant, has been awarded financial support from ACI to make a poster presentation and a brief oral presentation about his ongoing project at the 11th ACI International Workshop on Structural Concrete, in Cincinnati, Ohio, USA. He also attended the ACI Fall Convention 2019, on 20-24 October 2019 in Cincinnati, Ohio and represented our department with great success. We congratulate our student and wish him success in his future studies.
