Prof. Dr. Alp Caner has been elected as president of International Association for Bridge and Structural Engineering (IABSE) Foundation, in their annual meeting held in New York, in September 2019. The IABSE Foundation is an independent body managed by a self-governing Foundation Council comprised of voluntary members and is affiliated with the International Association for Bridge and Structural Engineering.
