In order to mark the 90th birthday of the renowned Teacher of Teachers Prof. Dr. Uğur Ersoy, a Celebration has been planned.

Initiated and proposed by his old friends and former students, and organized by the Office of the Chairman, Department of Civil Engineering, Middle East Technical University [METU], this one-day Celebration will take place on Saturday 25 June 2022 in the Kemal Kurdaş Hall of the METU Culture and Convention Center.

With support from the Chamber of Civil Engineers and the Turkish Precast Concrete Association, this Celebration, planned to be broadcast live via digital channels, will feature our dear Uğur Hoca in person in the METU CCC Kemal Kurdaş Hall. While the live digital broadcast will be open to all, the seating capacity of the Hall is limited for guests who wish to come and personally attend the proceedings, and for proper organization, a system of pre-registration is necessary. Those who wish to take part by attending the sessions on campus are required to apply for registration by 31 May from the METU Civil Engineering Internet web page (ce.metu.edu.tr). The Department will give a response to all applicants in the shortest possible time.

A video collage for Uğur Hoca will also be prepared. Those who wish to contribute to this video are expected to upload short videos (maximum duration 1 minute) by 31 May to the METU Civil Engineering page.
