The METU Department of Civil Engineering invites applications for a full-time academic position in the Materials of Construction Laboratory. Priority will be given to candidates at the Assistant Professor level, but strong applicants with greater levels of experience may also be considered.

Applicants should hold a Ph.D. degree in a relevant subject, supported by high-quality publications in refereed international journals and proceedings. Research interest/experience in unconventional materials and applications (e.g., additive manufacturing, infrastructure durability issues, materials in extreme environments, microthermomechanics, energy-related applications, composite materials) is preferred, but others will also be considered.

Hired faculty are expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses, develop and maintain a research program, supervise students, and seek research funding from national/international organizations.
